Australian Tech Leader Still Claims To Be Satoshi Nakamoto

The chief scientist of NChain has come out to publicly criticizes U.S. regulators and the Ethereum Network. During the same interview, Craig Wright also maintained his claims that he is the creator of the Bitcoin Whitepaper, authored by the pseudonym “Satoshi Nakamoto.” “My name is Dr. Craig Wright and under the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto I completed a project I started in 1997 that was filed with the Australian government in part under an AusIndustry project registered with the Dept. of Innovation as BlackNet.” After a request from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) input on cryptocurrency asset mechanics and markets, Craig Write responded negatively: Australian entrepreneur briefly set out his case that he is Nakamoto on Friday, saying: “Ethereum is a poorly designed copy of bitcoin designed with the purpose of completing the promise of smart contracts and scripting that were delivered within bitcoin but which were hobbled by the core developers of bitcoin who sought to enable anonymous transactions to exist within the system.”

Transfer Bitcoin On Twitter

An app that is currently in beta testing called Tippin allows Twitter users to send small amounts of BTC using the Bitcoin Lightning Network. The app is available as a Chrome web browser extension. When enabled, the app adds a small lightning shaped button next to the like and retweet buttons that already exist on the platform. The app is trying to do what once failed before. In 2016 the app “ChangeTip” went away, but was an early attempt at bringing Bitcoin transactions to Twitter. “In my opinion, tipping is going to be incredibly popular with lightning network; It’s the first time we can send small amounts almost at no cost, and we can do it incredibly fast.” - Tippin Engineer

trueDigital Lands Top Finance Industry CEO

Previously an employee of Bridgewater Associates, Thomas Kim will now lead the trueDigital team. His experience with the world’s leading hedge fund will surely help him take the start up to a new level of engagement. Their platform will be focused on trading Bitcoin derivatives. The platform was launched by Signature Bank late last year. The network is a fork of ethereum which allows clients to exchange funds directly, called “Signets” on the platform. It was approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and secured coverage from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). “I personally believe the market is signaling tremendous opportunities to bring traditional and digital markets together. A lot of the bigger organizations are getting realistic about their capabilities, but the need for these solutions is not going down.” - Thomas Kim
